Melbourne’s very own (house) music maestro Marcus Knight is currently kicking goals at a lightning pace on the back of three #1 and numerous top 50 Aria Club Chart productions in 2019 for labels including Vicious, Hot Sunday, Double Up and Central Station.

With a history as rich and entrenched in dance music folklore as Marcus’s, it’s no easy feat to be progressing continuously and still innovating after more than a decade in the industry. His own description of his evolution embraces his earlier fascination with rhythm & soul, hip-hop and disco.

This journey has included official remix credits for Carl Cox, Armand Van Helden, Marshall Jefferson, Mr V and more including top 5 productions on Beatport and Traxsource. This was soon followed by shows in UK, Italy, US, South East Asia and Ibiza.

Powerful and unrelenting, his productions are laden with crisp percussion and a creative synthesis to encapsulate the listener and drag them in to the addictive rhythms.

With an impressive list of tastemaker support for his music from Benny Benassi Kaskade, Nora En Pure, Vanilla Ace and more, Knight continues to build on his production history alongside his residencies at The Albion and Temperance Saturday in his beloved Melbourne.

With some great events already lined up over Australia’s summer, he is sure to be pushing his newest creations and embracing the next chapter with some notable collaborations on the way.

The future see’s him expanding his DJing beyond Melbourne and Australia as he sets his sights on conquering new territories and spreading the sound of Marcus Knight on dancefloors in clubs and events much further afield.
