Dan Slater is an rapidly up and coming Australian DJ based in Sydney. After years in the club scene as one of the most in demand dancers and show producer, Dan’s love of music eventually lured him onto the decks. He kicked off his dj career as winner of the Sydney Mardi Gras DJ Spin-Off Competition resulting in him spinning at the 2012 Mardi Gras Party. Since then he has gone on to wooing crowds at My House Sydney and Homesexual where he opened for Peter Rauhofer and Tony Moran.

Dan’s past has always been within the entertainment tho in various roles as dancer and show producer. He has produced the entertainment at events in Australia for Matinée, SuperMartXé, In The Dark Presents, Johan Khoury Presents and Cool Kids Club.  Dan has an extensive performing background and danced with numerous artists including Kylie Minogue, Vanessa Amorosi, Dannii Minogue, Jessica Mauboy, Paulini, Washington, Sophie Monk and Ricki Lee.

But it is his future behind the decks that is the exciting next chapter – already attracting the attention of promoters. With a hot sound to match his hot looks, Dan Slater is being talked about as the next big thing on the Australian dj scene.

In less than a year, Dan has rocked dance floors across the country from Perth to Sydney, and Melbourne to Newcastle – each time the promoter booking him for more.  His upbeat dance floor sounds bring a European energy and flavour to his sets – and Dan proves himself extremely adept at reading a dancefloor and adapting the vibe to the crowd. Recent highlights include supporting Sneaky Sound System at a secret event, dj hosting the Glamstand at Mardi Gras, a guest spot at Home’s Finale and spinning at his new residency Beyond (the Sydney version of the famous London club).

Proving his versatility, Dan spins a more chilled out set on Sunday afternoons at his packed weekly residency at Sydney’s Hugos.

Dan embarks on his first dj tour of Europe in July for two months and will spinning right through Europe including many Pride events including London, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Rome, Mykonos, and Paris.
